active x
for work we use an electronic medical record. I have two ways of accessing it. One is through our corporate website. I do it through remote desktop but only after the ip address has been approved. so home or certain hospitals can get it regardless of my computer/os. the second is through remote access into my computer using windows small business server which is reliant upon windows, ie and active x. in other words i can get in from anywhere (starbucks, hotel airplace) etc as long as i am using windows.....I like to use a mac, but i can and am willing to run parallels or boot camp. the issue is with my phone. I use an iphone, and as long as I am at a place with an approved ip address i can use my phone to log in through an rdp client...but i can never log into my work desktop. Does anyone know if the windows phones version of ie will allow me to access my work desktop. in other words will windows phone's version of ie supprt active x?
thanks is advanvce

Re: active x
Have you attempted alternative VPN / tunnel methods with other applications installed on the server side (ex: your work laptop) and the iPhone app on the client / iPhone side to see if it is a solid work around? I've had a lot of success with the following:
http://www.splashtop.com/home
Worth checking out.

Re: active x
I've heard good things about splashtop as well. Logmein's free client works well on my iPhone with my home PC as well.
