What about Lopez? He's been here longer than Gortat? Why hasn't he gotten any better? Why do the coaches insist on having him stand around the 3 pt line and being used to move the ball around the perimeter when he's clearly better playing around the rim? Who's call is that? Surely, not Robin's? I am not a coach nor and expert but it would seem logical to put a player in a position to succeed. Although I think Robin sucks I don't know if he's always being used in a way that gives him the best chance.

I think Channing had a good game and it was a good attempt at the end. Monta was just too good! Gentry is right, they lost this game in the first 10 minutes. And during that first 10 minutes and most of the night I was yelling at the TV for Channing to play defense.

Whenever Nash is screened at the high post and Channing has the job of slowing down the opposing point guard, he merely floats a "feather hand" and proceeds to let the guard drive right around and into our lane. I can't stand it and don't for the life of me know why no coach has pointed that out and helped him correct that. Whenever Gortat is in the same position he jumps out and blocks their guard and puts a body on him to slow him until Nash can recover his defensive position.

We are certainly going nowhere this year and will hopefully make some waves with trades next year but I wish they would trade away some of the dead weight this year and work on developing the guys we are going to keep long term.

My theory about assistant coaches is that they don't make much money and teams feel bad firing them, so when an assistant isn't working out, they just hire more. The thing to look for is, if your team already has (say) a shooting coach, why did they just hire another shooting coach?

Was just going to post the same thing. That's not how you manage the clock when you're down, Dark. What you described is what you do when you're tied. You've got to leave yourself some time if you miss the shot when you're down.
