    Understood.
He's a victim of his and his agent's hubris.
He got his money, and now is condemmed to NBA's version of Dante's Inferno.

Yep, that he is. He's this generation's Jim McIlvaine.

I don't know where I read it, but he was interviewed some time ago and asked about his huge contract. He said something like he obviously knows it's too much money but that if he was offered it, what was he supposed to do, leaving it on the table?

He's right. The owner signed off on it, and unfortunately that's one of the main reasons we had a lockout.

Rashard Lewis has never been the same since they caught him with his PEDs and forced him to play drug-free. He was getting all jacked up and it was helping his game be artificially better than it should have been. Now that he has no chemicals in his bloodstream (other than the likely THC), he is a shadow of his former self.

Fine. But play your butt off every night. Work on your game. Act like you care.

    I hadn't heard that! Interesting.

Although, now that I read this. Doesn't seem like THAT big of a deal. An over-the-counter vitamin supplement?

You would think that a franchise would have the ability to void contracts if something like that happens. It is pretty ridiculous for the fans and the franchise as a whole.

Meh. Even at his best, he was never worth even half that contract. It was s terrible contract, just like the Hedo contract, and the Hedo contract before that, and then they traded the last year of Lewis for like 3 more years of Agent 0. They're paying Nelson 8 million and JJ Redick 7.5, Why give a franchise like that an out? They clearly want to spend a lot of money on average players. All the Magic do is raise the market value of mediocre payers.

I say, keep 'em off the market, I say!
