This team has a hard time putting 48 solid minutes together and when they have 8-10 minutes of bad basketball, it is so bad that they can't recover from it.

That about covers it. The frustrating thing is that even the bench looks good for a couple of minutes each game. Then we just stop playing basketball for a bit.

Talk about indifference, even Coro only tweeted once during the game, and that was at the end. These home games must be something, there probably isn't a peep made by the half full arena.

I don't think it is the case. The crowd was into it and it got pretty loud at the end when we were making a come back. Yes, the arena is half full and many left when it was still possible to make a come back, but people there are still supporting the Suns. We just don't have that high flying action team anymore. I mean, I don't know if there is a team that dunks the ball less than the Suns. Gortat had like 16 dunks a few games ago and I think it led the team. I am not saying that dunks is what we need, I am just saying that the crowd reacts to that kind of flashy stuff. In addition we can't seem to make a key 3 pointer either. Frye, Dudley, Nash have all had chances in close games, but all missed crucial 3s.

And just for Mori, I think Redd is turning into Shannon Brown. At least that's what it looked last night. I really like Redd and he has been a great addition to the team, but you don't have to shoot the moment you touch the ball. It is ok to pass it around sometimes.

To be honest, Brown doesn't shoot enough. I don't want him handling the ball. Just catch it and shoot it if you're open. If not, pass it right back. I've seen so many times when he gets the ball and if he was ready to shoot, he could have. Instead, he dribbles it around and we get a terrible shot at the end of the shot clock.

A couple key additions next season and we could be right back in the hunt for a middle of the pack playoff spot. We have some good pieces, that don't look as good as they are because of all the pieces we are missing. If we add a competant backup point guard, adjust Frye and Duds back to the bench, and start an explosive scorer at the 2 or the 4 (I'm thinking a Josh Smith type, but any competent PF that complements Gortat will do) and the rest of our pieces instantly look better - Gortat, Dudley, Redd, Frye, Morris. Its horrifying that all of the excess weight is the product of the traumatic summer (Warrick, Childress) and that one of the 3 major holes is something we worked hard at filling with Dragic. To take these kind of steps backward is horrible, but with a couple savvy signings, we are improved tenfold.

We have solid pieces. We just need MORE pieces...

Everyone was this negative in 2010 and we made the WCFs.

Sorry, i'll hold out every last hope that we can get a title in THIS era, considering that it will be *years* if not decades of rebuilding and mediocrity before we get a player of Nash's caliber.

Obviously, I don't want to watch the 30-10 collapses and losses that are happening now, but with the right reload we could be fun and contend for another 2-3 years, while we watch OUR superstar break records and do things that have never been done before.

If we get lucky and pull this off somehow... the ring will be that much sweeter...

Well 1) Dallas wasn't as bad as we've been the last two seasons, 2) Dirk is younger, 3) Dirk and Nash are two different players. Nash is the ultimate facilitator/shooter. Dirk is/was a player in the go-to mold, a top scorer in the league. That's the kind of player Nash needs; that's not the type of player he is.

Let's set aside the competency issue and just look at the bank accounts. Mark Cuban was able to recover from some Sarver-like, stupid signings by just continuing to spend and spend, until he got it right. Sarver isn't going to do that.

I don't think this group of players, coming off this lockout, was capable of much more under another coach. I really, really like what I have seen from Gentry aside from a few quibbles. The main gripe I have with Gentry right now is that he is starting to use the Mike D'Antoni Memorial "play a guy an entire quarter" substitution system with Nash. Maybe that's what Steve wants, but, argh. Vets shouldn't play whole quarters at a time.

Suns know how to play basketball early in games. They've been great in the first quarters recently. May as well take that to the bank. But how many second half collapses is it going to take before Gentry is perceived as getting outcoached? The Suns come out strong, but when the other coach makes adjustments are the Suns then capable of making adjustments to that? I haven't seen it. It's all very one-dimensional.

I agree that he is taking some bad shots. I don't like that. His touch is off lately, too, which doesn't help. Almost any shot looks like a bad shot if it bounces out. Redd still isn't quite integrated with the team.
