i am not a fan of the idea of a "stretch 4". give me a buck williams or a charles oakley who gets his ass under the basket and beats the shit out of them.
Or David Lee ...

Lee's a stat-whore. Soft as tissue-paper.

The Suns don't even have stat-whores. We have Flingin' Frye, Loopy Lopez and Weak-Link Warrick.

I don't even think that's close to being true.

Re: Game Day: Suns @ Warriors
I know he's not much of a defender, but soft players don't get 11 RPG. You need to bang to rebound the way Lee does.

He's got a nose for the ball and hustles, but also knows how to hustle out of the way on D. Soft.

Re: Game Day: Suns @ Warriors
he's alvan adams soft. also, he clearly dominated channing frye. (i know, i know. but isn't it all the more discouraging then?)

Re: Game Day: Suns @ Warriors
Not shooting the 3 hurt us but having 2 shitty back up PGs absolutely killed us tonight. Telfair sucked so much in the first half that Gentry couldnt even put him in in the 2nd half. So when Aaron Brooks comes back who gets the axe Telfair or Brown?
I think Shannon is gone March 1st. Hopefully to the Clips if they don't get JR Smith or to the Timberwolves.

From the way they played in the first half I thought the Suns had this game pretty much wrapped up. So it didn't seem to matter that Frye couldn't grab a couple of stupid rebounds that actually bounced on the floor, right at his feet. Cost the Suns four points because Lee twice (or maybe Lee and Biedrins), thanked him kindly with a couple of easy layups. In the end those four points may have cost the Suns the game. To make that mistake once, fine. But to be caught like that twice.... Maybe Channing needs to whoring for stats a little more. Could translate into W's.

Re: Game Day: Suns @ Warriors
I never mind players stat-whoring for two stats and two stats only: rebounds and assists. Go get 'em.

Re: Game Day: Suns @ Warriors
I don't think David Lee is soft. He's not a great defender, but I look at it more like Amare's defense. He doesn't want to get in foul trlouble, so when he gets beaten, he steps aside rather than trying to catch up to his man and likely earning a whistle against himself.
On offense he is anything but soft. He bangs and crashes the boards and is quite a skillful operator inside near the basket. I liked his offensive game a lot last night.

Good point. Amar'e is awful on defense, but I don't consider him soft.
