Thread: DBAX!!!

Beat the best team in baseball last night in extra innings (14). Goldschmidt with the game winning RBI (2 for the night). Leading or in the top 5 of every major statistical category. Guy is amazing. Can't get over how gritty and all out this team plays. A joy to watch.

Goldschmidt with his 2nd grand slam in a week last night. Dbacks win 10 to 3. And the beat goes on.

They have a lot of fight in them. Even the loss tonight had character. Behind 2-12 most teams would have just given up. Not the D-backs. Came all the way back to 8-12.

But ... WTF is going on with Kennedy?

DBacks need some positive vibes: Hudson has to have Tommy John surgery AGAIN and McCarthy suffered a seizure as a result of the line drive to the head last season. Plus they dropped 2 of 3 to the Giants. Come on boys. Crush those Dodgers!!

Not sure what's up with Kennedy, worst era among our starters for a guy that was in Cy Young talks 2 years ago. Wow.

Goldy is looking awesome though, as is Corbin. Gambo on the radio today was noticing only one of our starting pitchers has a record over .500 yet we are still in first place. Its nice to see 3-4 hitters over .300 in the line-up this year as opposed to the last few years.

What a game tonight. Parra continues to save runs in the outfield with his glove and his arm. Should be an All Star but won't be. Definitely Gold Glove. Leading the major league in runs saved. The gritty Dbacks pull off an upset, Top of the 9th in LA, down 3 runs.

That was amazing. They were down 1-3 in the bottom of the 8th, in LA, and the Dodgers had the bases loaded with no outs! They got out of the jam, and then produce four runs in next half inning. What a turnaround. lol

This kind of stuff goes back to the team culture. You can see that the Dodgers, with a huge payroll, have no confidence. Meanwhile, the D-backs never give up. It's a habit. A good one. In a recent loss to STL they came back from 2-12 to 8-12, and a few days ago they came back from 0-9 to 5-10 in a loss to SF. There are no good losses, but those losses are not bad. Tonight the tenacity paid off. Big time.

Anyone else see the brawl the other night? Awesome game! Too bad we lost. We did manage to comeback last night in the 8th or 9th and take it to 12 innings and get the win. Always finding a way to get things done.

Yeah, saw it. All I know is that the Dbacks were up before the brawl and lost the game afterwards. So 20/20 hindsight says it was a bad idea that revitalized the Dodgers. But Dbacks took 2 out of 3 in LA so that works. Still, they're not playing well lately. Ups and downs are part of the long season, but I wouldn't mind another five game winning streak sooner than later.

Why is Kennedy listed as today's starter? Isn't he suspended for 10 games?

Edit: Kennedy is on the mound, because he's appealing the decision... Wow.

That hurt. Our starting pitching is an absolute mess right now.

That sucked. Especially since Kennedy pitched a good game. Hernandez blew his 2nd game in a week or so it seems out of the bullpen. Frustrating. He has a penchant for doing that this season, especially with a back breaking long ball.
